CERTIFICATES OF ANALYSIS

We are in the process of updating this page with an interactive ingredient glossary, tutorial on how to read a Certificate of Analysis (COAs), and an improved format to view the variety of COAs we offer.  In the meantime, you may view available COAs via our Google Drive.

The attention to safety and transparency extends to all our ingredients and raw materials, not just the hemp.

Testing Process

We have a rigorous testing process and voluntarily follow the strict NV State Testing Regulations imposed on our legal adult use marijuana program. Independent tests are done on the bulk/raw materials received from the supplier to verify their COAs.  Post-formulation tests are also done to ensure our finished products are free from pesticides, solvents, heavy metals or other contaminants and that potency is labeled correctly. In the state of NV, a 15% variance is allowed though 10% is our goal including the potential 4% variance at the lab level. Click the icon for more information on NV Testing Packages per the NV Department of Taxation.

Therapeutic Essential Oils

Adulterated oils or fragrance oils will not have the same benefit as pure volatile compounds found in therapeutic essential oils.  Purity is key for not only efficacy but also for safety as both are largely dependent on their chemical properties.  Every batch of essential oils ordered is tested by our distiller and the Gas Chromatography report is available in our COA files. We also provide the COA for our MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Coconut oil which is used as a carrier in most of our extracts. MCTs are easily digested, supports metabolism, and aids in absorption particularly when it’s high in C8 and C10 and lower in C6 and C12.

Fair Trade & Organic

Crooked Cactus labels indicate the ingredients that are sourced organically. For those products, you can find their Certified Organic documentation in our COA files. We value conscious and sustainable sourcing in all areas of our business, especially our ingredients where the trade market can exploit farmers and children. We take care to choose raw materials that are harvested ethically and when possible, Fair Trade Certified which can also be found in our COA files.

State Certified Laboratory

We are proud to use a local, diverse, and State licensed Medical Marijuana Independent Testing Lab, NV Cann Labs. In Nevada, NV Cann is highly respected and trusted. They have never had their license revoked nor fined and they are the only lab to pass all proficiency tests the first time during the licensing process. We went through several labs prior to finding NV Cann. It is clear that they prioritize consumer safety by upholding the state standards and not cutting corners. While CBD isn’t yet regulated uniformly, we voluntarily follow the state marijuana statutes to ensure our products are made consistently and safely.
