OUR STORY
Crooked Cactus CBD is a family operated business inspired by one special kid. In 2008, Kian was born with Down syndrome. He thrived for three and a half years then everything changed. Over the next several years, Kian began to experience a drastic regression, robbing him of his speech, triggering severe ticks, overwhelming sensory sensitivities, and giving rise to obsessive and aggressive behaviors. It was a challenging and painful time for Kian and our entire family. We sought answers, desperately seeking guidance from doctors who would simply dismiss it as “just the Down syndrome.”
Finally, after years of uncertainty, Kian received additional diagnoses of ADHD, Autism, and Partial Seizure Disorder. We were thrust into a world filled with pharmaceuticals and their terrifying side effects, but as Kian’s parents, we knew we had to find an alternative, a path that would be less harmful and more nurturing for our precious boy.
Our unwavering dedication led us to the discovery of Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil. With hope in our hearts and a deep desire for change, we embarked on a journey of self-education, determined to navigate the stigma and fear that surrounded CBD. Through careful consideration and a profound sense of desperation, we administered CBD to Kian, and from that moment forward, our lives were forever transformed.
The positive impact on Kian’s quality of life was nothing short of miraculous. The changes we witnessed were awe-inspiring, restoring his joy, alleviating many struggles, and helping him rediscover his own voice. Seeing Kian’s progress, other family members started CBD supplementation and experienced inspiring wellness transformations as well. Fueled by this transformative experience, his mom, Taiya, made the courageous decision to leave behind her 19-year career in the wealth management industry.
